RESOLUTIONS OF THE KHMER UNITY PARTY (KUP) CONVENTION

PHNOM PENH, JULY 21, 2002

 

The Convention of Khmer Unity Party that took place in Phnom Penh on July 21, 2002 adopted the following resolutions:

 

1- Appeal to all patriotic Cambodian who place national interest above all other considerations with the vision of Cambodia and the Cambodian race are in danger of being extinct to join Khmer Unity Party that is the opposition party that has capability to assure within the party the brotherly climate of harmonized and recognition for sacrifice while its members respect one another so that to realize the national unity to build strength by way of non-violence to save Cambodia and Cambodian race from extinction and together to build Cambodia to a state of rights with a true democratic regime that is willing to assist the Cambodian people away from poverty.

 

2-Appeal to all patriotic Cambodian to unite their strength to fight by all means to preserve and protect the territorial integrity of Cambodia.

 

 

3-Call on all patriotic Cambodian and the international community to pressure the present Royal Cambodia Government to work towards fighting against the insecurity in Cambodia.

 

4-Call on national and the international community to eliminate the sexual trade of Cambodian children and women to instead assisting the Cambodian people of poverty of illiteracy and to preserve the environment in Cambodia.

 

5-Call on democratic counties and the international organizations to assist and to assure that the Parliament Election of 2003 in Cambodia will be free and fair.
